First of all thanks Andre for the link...
In order to clarify my topic, as I mentioned before I want to have a multi - layered (multi- functional) facade in terms of "Live Facade".
Live facade is a big challenge, as a result I limited myself in some aspects as follows:
I want to know,
1-How the facade can response to daylight by changing its opacity?
2-How the facade can breathe?

... so in order to study either or both of these questions, you'd need to formulate some design hypotheses, like:
ReplyDelete- the facade can change its opacity (and thus respond to daylight) by ... [whatever you want to propose and test]
and/or
- the facade can breathe by ... [whatever you want to propose and test]
... and then devise tests which you can perform within the framework of the course, but noting also that many techniques for making facades breathe and/or change opacity have already been proposed and implemented, so you'd probably need to understand and critique those in order to do something worthwhile. (The problem with this being mainly that the time needed to review and analyze the existing methods meaningfully would probably prevent you from experimenting on your own proposed design.)
However, your topic statement includes the assumption that a multifunctional facade should be multi-layered, which is not a proven fact but might make an interesting research question.
